Mama & baby meet... and fall in love!
(Ann called in this info from Ethiopia around 10 am today) "Met my beautiful baby Ahnya today! I saw her from across the room and my heart leapt!! Finally, finally... my baby. She came to me immediately and cried every time I needed to put her down. Somehow I believe she knows I'm her mama. We spent 3 hours in the morning and 1 1/2 hours in the afternoon with my sweet child. Fed her some milk and cereal. Unfortunately, she has a little cough and a cold, but nothing we can't cure with love and care. It is night now and we need to sleep quick so we can get back to see Ahnya tomorrow morning. Love from Africa!! ~ Ann"

Of course she knows you are mama...all she had to do was see the look in your eyes. Honey, I am so thrilled that you are there safely and have your baby within your reach. She loves you, we love you and can't wait to meet her.

SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! We just got home and are tired but so in love. Enjoy every minute of Ethiopia, it truly is an amazing place!
How wonderful that she recognized the love you had toward her and felt safe in your arms! Are you able to read these comments there in Ethiopia? They were one of the highlights of each day while we were in China. I encourage everyone to comment every day - we couldn't get enough of connections to home while we were half a world away. It was like, "They care about us! In their hearts, they are traveling with us!"
