Update

Today our social worker called to give us a monthly update on our wait status. She said that we are still in-line for a referral anytime between July and October. So that puts us between the same 6-9 month range.

The Continuous Wait

Everything is done...everything! All the international adoption paperwork (called the dossier) is completed including the visas, passports, etc. All we do is wait for the call. I dare not even say when I "think" we could start getting nervous and anxious, but most likely this fall. Until then our we will enjoy our time as a family of four and the amazing summer we will have together!

Beginning the Process

The process to complete an international adoption is a long and difficult process. There's so much paperwork and time-sensitive documents to complete. When I explain it to others I refer to adoption as a "roller-coaster ride" because it is just that. There are so many highs and lows to the process. It's a leap of faith and one that is out of our families hands. In our case, we rest assured that God will place a baby in our arms when the time is right and we let faith run it's course. Easier said than done!
