Finally some visitors
Today was a fun day. We were blessed with some visitors FINALLY! We had my sister Nic and Adrianna stop over for a quick visit this morning. The girls got to squeeze on them and Nic also told them some disturbing stories about where milk comes from...they'll never drink milk again (Thanks Nic!) My girls are very VERY picky eaters...they don't need to know where their dietary consumption actually COMES from at this point in their lives!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, as Ryan's cousin Amy was leaving, his dear Auntie Nancy and Great-grandma Ro come over for some exhausting fun! I think they were completely and utterly exhausted by the time they left after supper! Sorry! That's life with 3 children under 6!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now the house is quiet! All girls are sleeping...and in their own beds, too! Hopefully the thunderstorms stay away long enough for mom and dad to get at least 4 hours of sleep peacefully! Have a good night!
By the way...we'd love to see everyone! I know I said to give us sometime for Ahnya to adjust to life and her new house and family...so the house is open!!!!!! Come on over anytime!

My lovies!!!!!
This past week we spent a long weekend at the lake! All three girls had a great time and the weather was perfect. Ryan took Friday and Monday off to have some extra bonding time with all his ladies in his life!!! And I'm so glad he did because it was so much fun. Gabriella and Jocelyn fished with Grandpa Bob and daddy. They caught four four fish each!! The girls were thrilled and Grandma Peg and I watched and took pictures with baby Ahnya!
I'm getting used to life with 3! It's definately busy and constantly running...but I love it more than anything! I think the girls and I are going to try spending more time during the week at the lake and have Ryan join us on weekends because I "THINK" I could handle them on my own full time. And having a little lake place to keep up verses a large house is easier for me, too!
Today is raining so the girls and I are playing beauty shop, baking cookies, and now playing "school."
Ahnya is doing so much better sitting up by herself now! She scoots around on the hardwood floors and gets around better. She seems very frustrated by not crawling and watching the girls run around. It's hard being immobile!! She's a pretty good eater 1/2 the time. She loves her baby food fruits and squash! The only baby cereal she'll touch is the fruit type! So she is a little picky and still is adjusting to much different foods here in America! Otherwise, she loves her bottle and drinks about 4 oz. every 2 hours or so.
Life is great. Life is busy. Life is perfect for us! Have a great day!

We're a family!!!
We're settling into a daily routine and trying to establish a "schedule" for our little bundle!!! Ahnya pretty much sleeps and eats! She seems much more like a 6 month old and our pediatrician also confirmed that her age seems to be closer to a six month old rather than an eight month old. Her age is estimated and as the Ethiopian calendar is different. Regardless, she's a joy and we're all in love with Ahnya.
It's really amazing what a little baby brings to a family; love, laughs, new outlook on life, and overall peacefulness. In the grand scheme of things...Ahnya is refreshing and Ryan and I are so blessed and thankful for this gift! Gabriella and Jocelyn are the "mother hens" of the house. They're constantly making sure that I'm feeding her enough, changing her pants enough, and wanting to help all the time!!!
