We have a BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan and I received the FORTH best phone call of our whole entire lives!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We got "THE CALL!" AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! God is GOOD!!!!!!!!! We have a baby!!!!!!!!

Our social worker, Sarah, called last night at exactly 10:30 p.m. I was already asleep in bed and Ryan was the one who actually picked up the phone! It's always been ME receiving "The Call" but tonight Ryan answered. I heard the phone ring twice and then heard him say "Wow, okay....!" At that moment ,I was hoping and praying my intuitions were right, I flew out of bed and grabbed the phone in the bedroom and immediately said into the phone, "Is it Sarah?" And then I heard her voice...and she said, "Hi Ann & Ryan, sorry to call so late but I have a referral for YOU!" That's when everything stopped...we were shocked!!!!!! Totally didn't expect it...but oh, what a wonderful surprise!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ryan, I and the girls would like to announce the new addition to our family! We now have baby BOY!!!! He is adorable and so perfect!!!!!!!! HE (wow, is it ever funny to say HE!) was born March 24, 2010 in the Sichuan Province of China. He's 14 months old. And he's living in an orphanage in Chengdu China. I can not post a picture of him as it's against China rules. However, I can tell you he's precious and I can't stop staring at his pictures.

Thank you for everyones continued prayers and support!!!! I'll post more when I know more.

Congratulations Ann and Ryan! I am so happy for you! He is a beautiful baby! I will be praying for every detail now - and I am so aware of every detail that needs prayer! Be sure and see The Great Wall while you are over there! Also you should be able to write and put pictures on your blog while there so all of us can check on your blog daily!

Love you all, Auntie Erma

Congratulations! Our little boy is also living in Chengdu! He is in the Chengdu CWI and he was 15 months old when we received our PA back in October. We are waiting on our LOA right now. And praying we can travel in August to embrace him! :) My husband is a high school teacher and he has an exchange student this year in his class who is from Chengdu, Sichuan! It has been so amazing to get to know her and her family as we wait to bring our little boy home. Just so excited for God's answer to your prayer! Boys are so full of JOY! ♥

Congratulations on your referral. Our daughter (adopted in November 2010) was in the Guang'an SWI, not Chengdu SWI, but we stayed in Chengdu and she was brought to us. Chengdu is an amazing city, not at all what we expected. Very upscale with a TON of amazing shopping, both high end and knock off stores, downtown feels somewhat like New York City. The food is also amazing! You can get meat skewers everywhere you go (hotpot) and we ate them everyday, they were so good, I still crave them. Enjoy Chengdu!
